1. Junior Full-Stack Developer

   2021 - 2023

   First developer role, learning the product and the codebase on the job while shipping features across a Django and TypeScript monorepo on two-week sprints: back-end models and endpoints, front-end pages, asynchronous tasks. Scope grew steadily over two years, from isolated tickets to features carried from technical design through to production. Stack: Python, Django, MySQL, Celery, TypeScript, Vite, GitLab CI/CD.

2. Full-Stack Developer

   2023 - 2026

   Feature work across a Django monorepo spanning several consumer products, on two-week sprints, from technical design through merge-request review to production. Two larger projects stand out. - Made schema changes safe to deploy during working hours. Migrations previously forced every deployment into the middle of the night, because web instances still running the old code could break against the new database until they were cycled out. I owned the fix: a documented set of backward-compatible migration practices covering the usual traps such as field renames, enforced on every merge request by django-migration-linter in CI. Hotfixes and mid-sprint releases moved into working hours. - Rebuilt the internal tooling behind the home-renovation sales teams: dashboards, quote and invoice generation, and equipment ordering. Moved the teams off spreadsheets and into the product database, making sales and operations data queryable in real time instead of reconciled by hand. 3. Senior Full-Stack Developer

   2026

   Most senior developer on a five-person team after the lead, acting as day-to-day technical reference for three developers and a systematic reviewer on their merge requests. - Built the company's preview-environment platform end to end. Product managers used to validate features over a developer's shoulder, which blocked the developer and encouraged rushed reviews. I containerised a stack that until then was started service by service by hand, sized the platform against real usage (five product managers, not one live environment per branch), and built it on Traefik routing with Sablier lazy-starting containers. Around 20 branch environments available on demand, 5 to 10 live at any time, roughly a minute of cold start, at about a tenth of the cost of Heroku- or Render-style offerings. I proved capacity on an existing in-house server before committing to any cloud spend. - Led an automated sizing engine for air-to-air heat pumps. From a survey of the home's rooms and surface areas plus the supplier catalogue, it returns a priced installation matched to the building's heating requirement, turning an expert manual estimate into a step any salesperson could run. - Shipped complete features to production with Claude Code rather than writing the code by hand, scoping tasks so an agent could carry them and holding the output to the same review bar as hand-written code.
